Modern Interpretation of the work

This British Movie is a modern setting on young adults juggling the struggles of their everyday lives. The Diary Bridget is writting in the movie is similar to many young Adults lives today. The constant battle of trying to suceed in whatever it maybe be career, school, marriage etc. In this movie her focuces were set on moving up in her job and trying to balance her love life. Many can relate to to problems Bridget faces in the movie. This movie was a good example of what takes place in todays society.

Writting Style

Bridget Jones Diary is based on the everyday life of Bridget Jones as she writes in her diary. Her writting style reflects the people and events surrounding and influencing her life. Her style of writting reminded me of The Diary Of Anne Frank and how she kept her diary of her everyday life events. This is one of my favorite writting styles because, its is a true story of a persons life. We can compare these diary stories to our own lives. I would consider Bridget Jones Diary to be a moden day story of The Diary Of Anne Frank.

Theme of this story:

The theme of this story is centered around the chaotic life of a British woman (Bridgett Jones). She centers this story around how crazy life can get trying to do all the everyday tasks. In her Diary she tells how she desires love and passion however, she cant find the time. She is a successful business woman trying to move up the ladder with her company, leaving no time for fun. She tries to manage the two, making her life over whelming and fun at the same time. The story gives a example of the life most people her age face. Its often times hard to be successful in both aspects. When successful in a business you often times spend all your time doing just that. The same goes for relationships, they take time and effort just as much as a successful job would. Therefore the theme of this story would be the chaotic life of a inspired young adult.

Character Aspects:

Renee Zellweger is one of my favorite actresses her distinct British accent and her funny ways makes her the unique clever actress she is. Previously playing in Jerry McGuire another well known movie, which is one of my favorites. She is not afraid to express how she feels as we see in the movie as she writes in her diary her every thought. The entire movie revolves around Bridget as she write a diary of her cauotic life trying to maintain love and her career. In the movie she plays as a independent woman with ambition to better her self as she also seeks the emotional aspects of love. This is a great movie and novel played out by a well scripted actress Renee Zellweger.

Reasons for choosing Bridget Jones Diary:

Bridget Jones Diary is a modern day British Literature following the life of an average British woman. I chose this movie to blog on since i had seen the movie and found it interesting and easy to relate to. Also i love Renee Zellweger as a actress, and also her character as bridget in the movie. I can relate to her in this movie as a young adult trying to better herself and seek love at the same time. Which is often times hard to balance the two. Her movie is interesting as we watch her journey trying to balance love and her career as she shares her journey in the diary.
